What has been your most memorable travel experience to date?

My most memorable travel experience was the year I spent journeying solo across Europe, Asia, and Australia. Traveling alone pushed me far outside my comfort zone and opened me up to the world in ways I never expected. I met incredible people from all walks of life, some of whom have become lifelong friends, and discovered how empowering it is to navigate new places entirely on my own. From skydiving over the coast of Australia to earning my scuba diving license in Thailand, feeding elephants at sanctuaries in Chiang Mai, and tasting unforgettable street food in Vietnam, every experience reminded me how much beauty there is in both the adventure and the stillness of travel. That year taught me not just how to see the world, but how to truly experience it, and it continues to shape the way I design every journey for my clients.

What does your perfect vacation day look like?

My perfect vacation day takes me back to Saint Martin, where my family traveled every year growing up. The day begins with a warm croissant or pain au chocolat from a local French bakery, enjoyed slowly with coffee and ocean air. Late morning melts into an easy afternoon on one of the island’s beautiful beaches, lounging on sunbeds and taking breaks for long, leisurely lunches at a beachfront restaurant. As the sun sets, the island comes alive with its mix of cultures, and dinner is always an indulgence, whether it’s fresh seafood, handmade pasta, or classic French cuisine. The night ends just as it should: with good music, a glass of wine or rum punch, and dancing under the stars.

What has been your most memorable travel experience to date?

I proposed to my fiancé in the pool at COMO Laucala Island in Fiji, where the infinity-edge pool flows into a larger lagoon-style pool below, surrounded by lush greenery and the crystal-clear waters of the Pacific. The moment was made even more magical by the exclusive Udu Residence—a luxurious retreat nestled on a hillside with breathtaking panoramic ocean views. Set within a serene tropical paradise, it was the perfect setting for an unforgettable proposal.

Perched high above the Amalfi Coast in Ravello, Belmond Hotel Caruso embodies timeless Italian elegance. Housed in a meticulously restored 11th-century palace, this iconic hotel seamlessly blends historic charm with modern creature comforts. Its clifftop location offers breathtaking panoramic views of the coastline, creating a romantic atmosphere unlike anywhere else.

The infinity pool—arguably one of the most beautiful in the world—appears to float above the Mediterranean, offering a tranquil spot to unwind while gazing out over the azure sea. The lush terraced gardens, filled with fragrant flowers and ancient stone pathways, only add to the property’s magical allure.

Prior to pursuing her passion for travel full-time, Erin spent twenty years in the sports and entertainment industries, working in advertising and sponsorship. As part of her time in the entertainment industry, Erin traveled extensively to music and sporting events worldwide, including Hyde Park British Summer Time in London and Jazz Fest in New Orleans. This first-hand experience in traveling to venues from LA to Shanghai has given her a unique level of expertise in bringing entertainment travel to life.

What has been your most memorable travel experience to date?

My most memorable travel experience to date was my honeymoon across Japan, Indonesia, and China. Between the food and kindness of the people in Tokyo, the incredible scenery and adventures of the various islands we visited in Indonesia, and the sightseeing in Shanghai, this two-week trip was one I will never forget. Experiencing new cities with the ones you love and creating lasting memories is the reason I pursue my passion for travel. Seeing these magical moments come to life for others brings me the most joy.

What does your perfect vacation day look like?

My perfect vacation day starts with a cup of coffee on an outdoor terrace or balcony, followed by a day of adventure and sightseeing, always outdoors. It continues with happy hour on a rooftop, an incredible dinner, and finishes with live music.

Kelly is a natural-born planner, and travel allows her to combine her skills and passions, into creating extraordinary experiences for her clients. After a decade spent working in the world of attorney recruiting, Kelly made her transition into the world of travel by translating her hobby of planning for friends and family into a newfound career. As someone who used to get overwhelmed by the time and energy it took to plan her own travel, Kelly knows first-hand the value of handing over the reins. As a Southern California native, Kelly grew up going on family trips to Hawaii and Catalina Island. Like any avid traveler, Kelly is always looking to further broaden her horizons. Which destinations or hotels do you go back to again and again? Why?

I always feel drawn to the allure of Italy. I’ve now traveled there in my teens, twenties, and thirties, and can’t seem to get enough of it. On some trips I return to places I’ve already been; on other trips, I venture into new regions. I have yet to leave Italy without an overwhelming sense of peace and appreciation for its beauty and culture. On my next trip, I’m hoping to explore the Dolomites, the Amalfi Coast, and the Puglia region!

What has been your most memorable travel experience to date?

One night while glamping in the Serengeti, a hippo was grazing so close to our tent that we could hear him chewing and breathing right next to our heads! The only thing separating us from his huge jaws were our canvas “walls”. On the same trip, we ventured into Rwanda to trek with the mountain gorillas. We had to scale the walls of an overgrown crater to reach this particular family of gorillas and spent the better part of an hour within arms-length of a troop of thirteen gorillas. The babies swung on vines and tumbled through the bushes right in front of us as if they were showing off their newly learned tricks. The pinnacle of the experience was the solo silverback standing up and banging on his chest within ten feet of us — it was simultaneously surreal, shocking, and sensational.

With South African roots, Chelsea has been traveling the globe since before she could walk. Her passion for travel continued to blossom as she was able to visit Asia and South America prior to her stint living in Prague. One of the most important things to Chelsea is a work-life balance. Coming from seven years working in the music industry, she noticed how important and freeing vacation time is with loved ones, family, and friends–she wants to be able to help create that same satisfaction for her clients. Chelsea has visited five continents and hopes to visit the remaining two within the near future!

What is your most memorable travel experience?

Arriving by seaplane to Kokomo Private Island in Fiji to look below and see the lushest plant life and most turquoise waters from above was mesmerizing. Not to mention, it is one of the craziest landings I’ve experienced to date!

What does your perfect vacation day look like?

I’d start with a balanced breakfast with some eggs and fruit. Then, I’d hit the gym in so I don’t dread doing it after a day in the sun! Afterward, I’d lay by the pool or beach, read get some swimming in before heading to an afternoon massage. For dinner, I’d be sure to try out some local cuisine.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Dana lived in Michigan, NYC, Spain, Australia, and Israel before settling back down in LA. She grew up traveling extensively with her family throughout Israel and Europe, always loving the thrill of exploring new places and learning about different cultures. Some of her favorite memories include walking the Great Wall of China, hiking glaciers in Argentina, hang gliding in New Zealand, snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef, trekking across the Australian Outback, and eating and drinking her way across Tuscany. She loves nothing more than uncovering chic destinations, stylish locales and incredible restaurants.

Following roles in business development and digital marketing in the hospitality design and luxury hotel industries (most recently at The Peninsula Beverly Hills), Dana decided to finally turn her lifetime affinity for travel into a full time job. As a luxury travel advisor, she enjoys designing custom itineraries tailored to her client’s preferences; whether it be a romantic couples weekend, relaxing wellness escape, adventurous family trip or an exotic bucketlist vacation, she’s passionate about her work. Dana leverages her first-hand knowledge of luxury hotels to better guide clients in deciding where to go, seamlessly transforming their dream trips into reality. As she continues to hone her craft and seek out unique destinations and travel experiences for her clients, Dana loves traveling with her husband and two young boys.

Which destinations do you go back to again and again?

I try to visit Israel every summer. The epic beach culture, vibrant culinary scene, thriving nightlife and walkability of Tel Aviv make it a magical place to visit; this Mediterranean paradise should be on everyone’s bucketlist! Napa Valley is my other favorite spot. I take an annual trip with friends to enjoy the picturesque vineyard views, boutique wineries, and gourmet dining. It’s pure heaven for food and wine lovers!

What inspired you to become a travel advisor?

I’ve been researching and planning trips for myself and my family for years, always sharing detailed recommendations with friends. After forging my career in the luxury hotel industry, I decided to finally share my passion for curating itineraries with others, helping clients create memorable vacations and unforgettable experiences.

Her grandfather was first to introduce Kara to an obsession with luxurious, historical hotels; and, her mother, to a penchant for the unconventional.

 
A lawyer turned luxury travel advisor, Kara’s devotion to research, along with her proclivity for organization, guarantees travel itineraries that are comprehensive and thought provoking, be they elaborate, informal, recurrent, or impromptu.

In her past life, Kara was a top performing advertising sales executive for such prestigious publications as Woman’s Wear Daily and Angeleno Magazine, Kara graduated from The George Washington University with a BA in psychology, and has traveled far and wide in search of the best possible experiences to share with her clients.

Kara has been named as a Travel+Leisure A-List Agent as well as a Condé Nast Traveler Top Travel Specialist expertise in Family and Honeymoon Travel as well as handling travels for VIPs and A-List celebrities. Recent travels have taken Kara to spots around the globe including Bora Bora, Fiji, Argentina, Japan, Finnish Lapland, Australia, Israel, Thailand, Costa Rica, Vietnam, Greece, Hungary, and Mexico.

Of all the trips that you’ve been on, which is your favorite?

My absolute favorite experience of the last 5 years took place in Crete. It was simple and delightful. We were having a casual dinner with friends in town when we began talking to the owner of the restaurant. By invitation,  we ended up leaving the meal just after ordering, and we were suddenly being escorted by the owner and his brother to the owner’s father’s boat where all of the fish are caught for the restaurant. We had some had some great laughs before before being driven back to the restaurant for the first course. It was just one of those special, authentic, spontaneous moments with friends that happens organically in a wonderful country.

Who is your dream travel companion?

Believe it or not, my husband is still my dream companion.

After dedicating her college years to exploring and living in various destinations, from Europe to Hawai’i, and other places in between, it comes as no surprise that Laura eventually found a career in travel.

What does your perfect vacation day look like?

Starting with a good night’s sleep and a leisurely morning is always a win. To get moving, I’ll take my coffee and explore the new destination that I’m visiting. I also always enjoy having a long lunch, which feels like such a luxury, since that is not a part of my daily routine and it’s always a meal of local fare. In the afternoon, I plan for a fun activity like a boat ride, massage, or even a dip in the ocean. I’ll finish the day with dinner somewhere buzzy and fabulous…and do it again the next day.

Which destinations and hotels do you go back to again and again? Why?

My travels are driven mainly by beauty and food, so I constantly find myself wanting to go somewhere in Italy, and other parts of Europe where food is central to the conversation. And then Asia captivates me on a whole different level. I love the bustling cities as much as I love the far corners, the quiet cobblestone streets, and the empty beaches. And part of me always wants to be in Paris; that will never change.
