I am really looking forward to visiting Asia because I think it is one of the most diverse and fascinating places in the world. What interests me the most is how every country has its own traditions, history, food, and way of life. I love that Asia has so many different landscapes and experiences. I find it amazing how modern life and ancient traditions exist together. For example, you can see huge office buildings, advanced technology, and crowded cities, but just a few streets away, you can find a peaceful temple or a historic site dating back centuries. I think that contrast is really beautiful and unique.

What does your perfect vacation day look like?

My perfect vacation day would start slowly and peacefully. I would wake up early in a beautiful place near the beach, just in time to watch the sunrise while listening to the waves. After that, I would enjoy a delicious breakfast with fresh fruit, coffee, and local fare while sitting outside and taking in the warm weather. In the morning, I would spend time exploring the area, walking down small streets, visiting local shops, and taking pictures of anything that catches my eye. I love discovering new cultures, trying different foods, and meeting people. Around midday, I would relax by the ocean, swim in the water, and maybe read a good book under the shade of a palm tree. In the afternoon, I would do something exciting like snorkeling, hiking, or taking a boat ride to see beautiful views. What has been your most memorable travel experience to date?

Our first “big adventure” with our then six- and seven-year-old boys, plus our best couple friends. The trip kicked off with my son’s eardrum rupturing mid-flight (nothing says bonjour like tears and Tylenol), followed by both said son and I scoring antibiotics from the hotel doctor. The guys, in their internationally traveled, infinite wisdom, were “in charge” of the trains and forgot to pre-book them… so instead of Avignon, we scrambled and re-routed to Lyon. (To their credit, Lyon was actually fantastic.)

Just when we thought we’d found our rhythm in Provence, massive forest fires forced us to evacuate our villa two days early. Packing up kids, luggage, and rosé that quickly is a special kind of cardio. Yet somehow, between the chaos, detours, and medical mishaps, it became my most memorable trip. Paris, Lyon, Provence, and the coast were still breathtaking—and we were lucky enough to turn disaster into comedy and adventure. We’ll remember it forever!
