Around the World by Private Jet in 24 Days

Intro Stay Highlights itinerary

If you’ve ever dreamt of traveling around the world by private jet (in other words, #smartflyertakemeto: everywhere!), we’ve found the ultimate fix.

Heightened awareness around the broader impacts of responsible travel in our ever-evolving climate call for a refreshed perspective–our team is doing so by prioritizing both client safety and environmental sustainability while empowering clients to get back out there. This is where preferred partners like TCS World Travel come in. Looking back to the 1990s when both SmartFlyer and TCS sprung onto the hospitality scene, TCS was transporting travelers on complex expeditions to remote destinations like Russia, China, and even the Arctic Ocean. However, it was a voyage by private jet–born as an experiment for the American Museum of Natural History that sold out instantly–that put TCS on the path to becoming pioneers in this luxurious niche. Twenty-five years later and counting, they’ve perfected the art of traveling around the world by private jet.

ItineraryItinerary

1 Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Begin your Journey of a Lifetime

Cue: deep exhale. You’ve made it to the beginning of what is sure to be a magical journey! As you settle in for the night at The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale, you’ll have the opportunity to meet fellow travelers, expedition leaders and dedicated guest services staff over a festive welcome dinner. By this point, you’ll already be very familiar with your dedicated guest services manager who’s been in touch prior to your arrival to understand all of your pre-trip preferences, as well as having supplied a packing list, advised on essential inoculations, planned touring, and arranged any additional customizations. Your expedition leader will be in charge of the luggage and transport all baggage to and from the jet while the expedition staff is there to ensure maximum comfort. Keep in mind that there are no overnight flights on this trip–so tonight will be your first of twenty-two where you slip in a luxurious hotel bed.

2-4 Peru
Cusco and Machu Picchu or North Coast

This morning, you’ll take off for your first flight on TCS’ completely customized Boeing 757. There are 48 seats, all with the first-class style configuration you’re accustomed to, including full recline. This initial flight will be 7 hours and 35 minutes to Peru. You can rest easy throughout knowing that the jet has a state-of-the-art air filtration system that removes 99% of airborne particles. And for additional peace of mind, know that TCS will offset carbon emissions to support two destinations most frequented on TCS expeditions: this first stop in Peru as well as Cambodia, where you’ll be in just under two weeks time. In addition to mitigating climate change impacts, these projects enhance sustainability by protecting native ecosystems and benefiting local communities.

Discover the extraordinary UNESCO World Heritage site of Machu Picchu and examine its artfully cut stone altars, temples, fountains and terraced gardens. In historic Cusco, see how Inca and Spanish cultures intertwine. Exploring Machu Picchu and taking in the Peruvian highlands is the focus of this destination, but you’ll have plenty of chances to explore modern Peruvian culture as well. If you’ve already visited Machu Picchu, consider traveling to Peru’s lesser-known North Coast, a region filled with stunning natural scenery and archaeological wonders from several pre-Inca cultures.

5-6 Chile
Easter Island

After a few glorious days in Peru, it’s back on board to your next destination. Settle in for the 6 hour and 55-minute journey where your dedicated flight crew and onboard chef have gotten to know every guest’s individual preferences–including any dietary requirements. And keep in mind this is no ordinary flight–getting there is half the fun! Plus, guests are accompanied by an emergency-room physician throughout the entire trip, so you truly are in the best hands. Prepare yourself for this mystic place in the middle of the Pacific Ocean where moai face the elements.

Trace the history of a lost civilization with your archaeologist guides. Explore Rapa Nui National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site home to the beachside altar of Ahu Akivi and the Rano Raraku quarry, where hundreds of moai were abandoned. Stand in awe on the grassy landscape of Rapa Nui National Park and the Ahu Tahai ceremonial complex as you discover the remains of this mysterious ancient culture. Feel the awesome isolation of the island’s rolling green hills, where wild horses roam. Indulge in a festive dinner complete with elaborately costumed entertainers performing traditional song and dance.

7-8 Fiji
Luxuriate on picturesque Denarau Island

Today you’ll travel 11 hours and 20-minutes–including one technical stop–from Easter Island to Fiji. On this route, you’ll lose a day crossing the international date line; whether you use to this time to read, journal or even learn a thing or two from the on-board expedition expert who brings context and expertise to what you are seeing supported by the onboard presentation system, you won’t have to worry about a thing. The TCS team fills out landing forms on behalf of all guests–all you have to do is sign your name! Upon arrival to the Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa Hotel, take in the tranquility of your surroundings. Spend the evening soaking in the shimmering waters by the beach or by one of the several pools. Opt to unwind with a holistic spa treatment, or just take in the beauty of your beachfront resort.

9-10 Australia
Great Barrier Reef

This morning, partake in one of the water sports activities prior to departure from Fiji. As you approach your landing after your five-hour flight to Port Douglas, take in the northeast coast showcasing Australia’s unique natural wonders. The main attraction here is the Great Barrier Reef, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the world’s largest coral reef system composed of roughly 3,000 individual reefs and 900 islands stretching for over 1,600 miles. Cruise to the Great Barrier Reef’s pristine northern reaches where you can snorkel among a vibrant collection of coral and tropical fish. Or opt to venture into the Daintree Rainforest, one of Australia’s truly wild areas.

11-13 Cambodia
Angkor Wat

It’s time to say goodbye to life “Down Under” and head back north on your seven-hour and 55-minute journey to Siem Riep. By this point, the jet will feel like your home-away-from-home where you get to reboard and talk to the crew about the experiences had in each destination. And despite that you’re headed somewhere remote, there are no layovers – TCS flies direct to each destination and uses private air terminals, FBO’s and expedited security wherever available. Arrive to Cambodia feeling fresh and ready to wander the mystifying UNESCO World Heritage site of Angkor. Don’t miss the enigmatic Bayon Temple, the captivating overgrown remains of Ta Prohm and the majestic Angkor Wat before going to enjoy Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor.

14-15 India
Taj Mahal + Jaipur

Wake up for what’s sure to be a thrilling day beginning with your journey from Siem Reap to Agra where you’ll go on a day tour of the world’s most famous building, the Taj Mahal, the white marble mausoleum that took more than 22 years and 20,000 people to build. From there, it’s straight to Jaipur where you’ll have the chance to immerse yourself in the vibrant tapestry of culture, cuisine and architecture of Jaipur. Nicknamed the “Pink City” for the striking rose color of its buildings, Jaipur overflows with majestic architecture. Admire the royal structures of Hawa Mahal and Amber Fort, and get swept up in the lively atmosphere of the city’s bustling bazaars. You’ll be calling the stunning Rambagh Palace home during your time in incredible India.

16-18 Tanzania
Serengeti Plains or Ngorongoro Crater

To travel the world by private jet is to see it through a different lens. After an evening of being surprised and delighted by TCS’ team, you’re off for East Africa! The journey from Jaipur to the Serengeti will include a local charter and from first wheels up to final wheels down, last approximately nine hours. But, rest assured, what awaits will have you completely awestruck from the start. Your time in the Serengeti will involve embarking on morning and afternoon game drives across the seemingly unending landscape, which serves as the backdrop to one of the most ancient migration rituals on Earth. The option to step into a hot-air balloon to see the vast grasslands of the Serengeti come to life, then touch down for a Champagne breakfast in the bush is highly reccommended.

During your time in Serengeti National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, observe the protection of a wide variety of animals, large and small, including more than 30 species of large herbivores and nearly 500 species of birds. The acacia woodland and year-round water supply in this area create an ideal environment for the wide variety of wildlife that can be seen here—countless zebra, buffalo, lions, cheetahs, gazelle, wildebeest and other species make it their home. Back at your luxurious tented resort in the Serengeti, search for the Big Five: lions, leopards, Cape buffalos, elephants and rhinos. Or spot wildlife in the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest volcanic caldera.

19-20 Jordan
Petra and Wadi Rum

After you’ve soaked up your Serengeti safari, you’re off on a five hour and 25-minute flight to Jordan. Here, discover the Lost City of Petra, which was half-built and half-carved into red sandstone cliffs by the Nabataeans more than 2,000 years ago. Explore the starkly beautiful landscapes of Wadi Rum on a 4×4 expedition, or opt to experience the Bedouin way of life with an overnight stay at a luxury camp in the desert. Nearly two-thirds of Jordan is covered by great expanses of arid desert. Gold-tinged red sandstone cliffs arch up into the sky, while plateaus eroded by winds stretch toward the horizon. In the middle of this stark beauty lies Petra. Petra’s architecture reflects a fusion of ideas and styles, combining traditional Nabataean rock-cut buildings with Hellenistic façades featuring columns and intricate sculptures.

21-22 Morocco
Marrakesh

In your final international destination, a sensory experience that awaits. From Petra, board the TCS jet for a six hour and 40-minute trip to North Africa. Experience Marrakech as you stroll through the winding pathways of the medina, see the spectacle of Jemaa el-Fna Square and immerse yourself in the lovely Jardin Majorelle. Perhaps the highlight of Marrakech, Jemaa el-Fna square is the heart of one of the most vibrant medinas in the world. This ancient walled quarter is filled with narrow, maze-like streets crowded with merchants, fire-eaters, snake charmers, musicians and entertainers. If you’ve already visited Marrakech, consider visiting the Agafay Desert, an area of unparalleled beauty on the edge of the Atlas Mountains. Lying in the fertile Haouz plain at the foot of the Atlas Mountains, Marrakech has some of the most impressive examples of Islamic architecture in existence.

23-24 Orando, Florida
Back Home!

After a truly magical expedition, it’s time to head back stateside. Settle in for your ten-hour and 25-minute journey which will include one technical stop. Whether you’re busying sorting your photos on your laptop, sharing memories with your fellow passengers or, enjoying the entertainment, you’re surely returning with countless stories to regale.
