ItineraryItinerary

1 South Caicos
Arrival to South Caicos

The moment you set foot in South Caicos, the Caribbean breeze air wraps around you in a warm embrace, hinting at the days of ease ahead. For those arriving to the South Caicos airport versus private boat transfer, the transfer is just five minutes from the airport to the resort, ensuring you have a cocktail in hand nearly instantaneously—that is, after you get to hear from your driver about how this island of under 2,000 inhabitants and just eight square miles produces most of the seafood for Turks & Caicos.

After your warm welcome and orientation to the property, settle into your beachfront accommodations where floor-to-ceiling windows frame turquoise water and the rhythm of waves instantly sets the pace. As the sun dips low, your first evening begins with a toes-in-the-sand dinner. We recommend trying some of the chef’s fresh seafood grilled to perfection which is only further complemented by the sky being awash in shades of tangerine.

2 South Caicos
Sunrise Yoga, Adventures at Sea and Spa

Ease into your first morning at Salterra with a sunrise yoga session overlooking the sea, followed by a nutrient-packed breakfast. By mid-morning, the call of the ocean is irresistible, and thanks to Salterra’s privately owned fleet of boats, you’ll set out on a sailing excursion helmed by the property’s star-studded Adventures by Salterra team. Opt for whichever outing best suits your mood with the chance to snorkel in secluded coves, spot playful sea turtles, and enjoy a picnic lunch prepared by the property’s culinary team.

The afternoon invites a slower rhythm with a massage at the spa, infused with Caribbean botanicals to leave you restored. The spacious setup of the spa invites you to enjoy the steam, sauna, and relax poolside well after your treatment concludes. Once you’ve fully recalibrated, head back to get ready for an al fresco dinner beneath the stars.

3 South Caicos
Relax at the Beach or Poolside

After a leisurely morning spent lingering over pancakes and tropical fruit on your terrace, the day opens up for indulgence. Perhaps you’ll join the property’s culinary team for a hands-on cooking or mixology class, mastering recipes and cocktails to recreate back home. The afternoon is devoted to relaxation between the infinity pool and private beach cabana, where chilled rosé and fresh fruit appear as if by magic.

As the sun sets, you’ll embark on a champagne cruise, returning to dress for an elegant evening at Salterra’s adults-only fine dining restaurant, Brine, where the setting is as artful as the cuisine. We personally love the White Gold Dinner, which is a five-course menu with an optional wine pairing that you can book as a salt voyage of South Caicos. Each course is paired with a different locally produced salt (think: saffron and lavender-infused salts) to amplify every bite.

4 South Caicos
Soak Up Your Final Exploration Day at Sea

Today is your last full day on property and ideal for venturing beyond the resort’s soft sands if you can pull yourself away! After a leisurely breakfast, choose from a guided half or full day bonefishing excursion, flyfishing lessons, kiteboarding lessons, wing foiling lessons, or even scuba diving.

For those interested in sustainability, you can pair scuba diving in crystal clear waters around Dove Cay with assisting scientists with coral cultivation and planting. Learn about the South Caicos Coral Reef Consortium, co-founded by Salterra in partnership with the School for Field Studies Center for Marine Resource Studies, with a visit to the school’s land-based coral nursery. Afterward, soak up your farewell dinner knowing that you’re bound to return to South Caicos.

5 South Caicos
Farewell (for now!)

Your final morning begins with a sunrise swim, a chance to etch the ocean’s rhythm into memory. Before departure, consider stopping by the boutique for thoughtfully curated pieces—handwoven textiles, local ceramics, and artisanal keepsakes that carry the spirit of Salterra home with you. Though the journey continues, the feeling of island serenity lingers long after checkout.
