Carlos Alvarez 11 Years of Experience

A curator of dreamlike journeys, Carlos blends his sharp entrepreneurial instinct with an insatiable taste for the finer things in life.

Specializing in crafting seamless travel experiences, the itineraries Carlos tailors on behalf of clients span from the timeless elegance of Europe’s storied capitals to the untouched beauty of the world’s most remote and exotic corners. His entry into the world of luxury travel was no accident, but instead, the natural evolution of a career shaped by entrepreneurship and a proud third-generation legacy of excellence in hospitality.

For Carlos, every trip is driven by an unwavering commitment to impeccable standards and his clients’ most valuable currency: time. His entire practice is built on the promise that every detail, no matter how small, will be handled flawlessly. For him, luxury travel is never a one-size-fits-all formula but rather a deeply personal experience unique to each traveler, shaped by their passions, curiosities, and the discoveries they’ve yet to make.

While Europe forms the foundation of much of his work, it is the untamed, extraordinary destinations—luxury tented camps in Botswana, temple-studded journeys through Southeast Asia, or thrilling expeditions in Georgia and Armenia—that truly spark his passion. Whether it’s watching mountain gorillas in Rwanda or designing immersive culinary escapes, Carlos brings unparalleled precision and creativity to every corner of the world. Based in Mexico and connected to an elite global network, Carlos provides his clients access to the kind of exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime experiences most only dream about.

Which destinations or hotels do you go back to again and again? Why?

My favorite city in the world is Hong Kong, and my favorite country to return to is Italy. Every time I get the chance, I try to return to experience new hotels and search for the next unforgettable cocktail bars and restaurants in these destinations. If the flight to my next destination can include a layover in either of these two places, I always make sure to plan accordingly.

What has been your most memorable travel experience to date?

It is very hard to select just one experience, but one of my top experiences is experiencing Africa. It does not matter if it is the Okavango in Botswana or Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. When you wake up in these destinations, the excitement of discovering a day where you do not know what you will get is truly unmatched. Sitting just meters away from a silverback in his natural habitat, completely unhurried and completely wild, is one of those rare experiences that strips everything else away.

Travel Tip

  • I always like to leave an unscheduled day on every trip or in every destination. Sometimes the best moments are the ones that are not planned.
