The 154 rooms and 19 suites at Hotel Amigo are an invitation to the historic heart of Brussels. Embodying the city’s vibrant artistic spirit through a rich use of colour, our elegant rooms and suites feature a generous art collection, including original Magritte lithographs, prints of Herge’s enduring classic, Tintin, and pieces by Goossens, Moulinsart, and Broodthaers. We particularly love the Tintin suite, especially for families or even for couples that enjoy a bit of whimsy! For those that may not be familiar, Tintin is a comic book character – he is everyone’s favorite mystery solving Belgian and he hangs out with his adorable white dog, Snowy. A delicious aperitivo on a warm, sunny afternoon.

Ristorante BoCConi, the famous Italian restaurant, is a popular gathering place for the locals of Brussels, where guests enjoy a perfect blend of Italian cuisine with Belgium’s finest ingredients. BoCConi also boasts a terrace during the summer season, where guests can enjoy a delicious aperitivo on a warm, sunny afternoon.

At the Bar A, guests can also have light meals such as the Leggero by Fulvio menu, or a platter of local Belgian cheeses and marmalade. In the Afternoon, tea is served daily from with our Belgian afternoon treats! For the complete experience, there is also the musical touch at the Bar A. On Friday evenings, guests can enjoy live Jazz music and on Saturdays, the Piano Bar evenings.

Unique brews with rich taste and history.

Bar A, the bar of choice for Brussels bright and brilliant for many years, offers a relaxed setting to enjoy a delicious cocktail or light bite. Filippo Di Marino, the head bar man, crafts signature cocktails, such as the delectable Vintage Negroni. Another highlight of the bar is their very own beer named “Beer A”, below you will find the unique story of this brew.

In the 16th century, the Amigo building was the prison of the city of Brussels and a craft beer was brewed there. This beer was brewed by the prisoners themselves and the recipe had to remain secret. It was transmitted only orally at the risk of being stolen! Over time, the small brewery disappeared, carrying with it the recipe. Recently, a prisoner’s diary has been found in the cellars of Hotel Amigo. This revealed the secret recipe buried in the history of the building. Upon this discovery, the property gave a second breath to this treasure.
