As a natural-born explorer who attributes much of her personal growth to her formative travel experiences, Meg believes travel has the power to foster meaningful relationships, cultivate a more informed worldview, and create cherished lifelong memories.

Meg was raised in a family that prioritized experiences above all else, instilling a wandering and curious spirit in her at an early age. From enjoying hanami amidst flowering cherry blossoms in Japan to celebrating her wedding on Italy’s Amalfi Coast, her destination knowledge is far reaching.

As a seasoned traveler, Meg  possesses an inherent understanding of what her clients are looking for out of their trips. She works diligently to provide swift service as she consults on destinations around the world and meticulously plans well-organized itineraries. Meg understands that tailor-made trips are more meaningful, as they reflect each client’s unique needs, so each journey she plans is bespoke.

Much like the people she plans trips on behalf of her clients, Meg has a lengthy bucket list of her own. She delights in assisting others in not just going somewhere for the sake of crossing a place off their list, but creating lasting impressions along the way.

What has been your most memorable travel experience to date?

When summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro, the phrase you hear throughout the journey is “pole pole”, a Swahili saying that means to “go slow”. As the air thinned and the temperature dropped during our final ascent, our  guides kept whispering ‘pole pole’. This culminated with us having our  triumphant moment reaching the peak of Kilimanjaro. Even to this day, that experience and phrase continue to resonate with me, serving as a perpetual reminder to take things slow when I find myself overwhelmed in my daily life.

How do you prepare for your trips?

I prepare for travel by doing extensive research; I am always on the lookout for the local culinary points of interest and the latest happenings in the cultural epicenters of the places I visit. That’s not to say I don’t enjoy visiting attractions, but I also want to understand what makes each city and town noteworthy. And, of course, I make sure to map out where I want to indulge in a little shopping!

Travel Tip

  • Whether you are on a multi-city trip or simply traveling with kids to the beach, you can organize stops–or family members–by using color-coded packing cubes.
