The concept that life is for living and that we all benefit from experiencing it through new perspectives guides Randee’s approach to each client’s unique requests.
From an early age, Randee felt a deep connection to the world around her, eager to explore and share her experiences with those who shared her curiosity. Her love for travel was nurtured by her family, who viewed every trip as a bonding opportunity in addition to encouraging her to explore the world through organized group trips, independent travel, and study abroad experiences in college. This early exposure laid the foundation for a life of rich discovery.
Travel has always been more than just a hobby for Randee—it’s been a source of inspiration, pushing her to immerse herself in diverse cultures, lifestyles, and environments. After seven successful years managing white-glove corporate travel, Randee took a leap and co-founded Jetsetting Families, a bespoke luxury travel agency designed to cater to discerning travelers. Through its affiliation with SmartFlyer, Randee and her business partner collaborate with a robust network of knowledgeable travel professionals who consistently share their destination expertise. Today, Jetsetting Families helps support travelers across many stages of their travels including solo adventures, couples’ getaways, and of course, creating unforgettable family vacations.
As a lifelong learner, Randee is always on the move, traveling about once a month to continually hone her destination knowledge. Her year typically begins with family ski trips, before delving into a spring trip to celebrate her eldest son’s birthday, a summer adventure to celebrate her younger son, a relaxing fall vacation, and a celebratory trip with friends to close out the year. In between, she stays ahead of trends by working closely with global hotels and tour operators to find the places her clients will appreciate. For Randee, travel is more than just a journey; it’s a collection of tastes, smells, feelings, sounds, and memories that linger long after the trip is over. She believes that to travel is to live, and she is passionate about helping others create their own lasting memories through her work at Jetsetting Families.
My dad and I traveled a lot together after my mother passed away when I was 30. I was married at the time, and my husband encouraged us to spend some time bonding. On one of these journeys, we went to Japan and met a touring Australian band while in Tokyo. My dad is a talented musician, and I never truly appreciated his passion until we stayed out all night with the band, watching the sun come up in Golden Gai—a collection of mismatched, tiny, sometimes themed bars connected along alleyways in a charming corner of Shinjuku. After this trip, I realized that my dad and I will always find the light at the end of the tunnel together.
I am a breakfast enthusiast and particularly enjoy avocado toast, so my morning begins in search of the perfect coffee and avo toast. I try to fit in exercise, and if I can’t, I’ll find a way to incorporate it into my touring or beach day. I’m okay with having lunch on the go, but ending the day with a wonderful dinner is important to me. What’s non-negotiable is finding dessert, particularly ice cream. In fact, if there’s an opportunity for ice cream earlier in the day, I’ll make an excuse to indulge! The night feels so magical to me so I’ll seek out late-night activities—dancing to live music or having a nightcap at the trendiest cocktail bar. And to round out the day, I love watching the local TV in other countries so I’ll fall asleep to a movie or show.
Keep up with the places that deserve more than a bookmark, but a check-in.
