Travel obsessive by nature, Kirsty’s passion for finding the perfect trip for the right person hasn’t dimmed since joining the industry in 2000.
Travel was always going to be part of Kirsty’s story—and several decades into her career, she still gets genuinely excited by the possibilities a well-designed trip brings. She loves helping clients discover places that are every bit as good in real life as they look in the photos. Based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, she founded Kirsty and Co. on a simple idea: vetted advice, genuine relationships, and looking after people properly never go out of style. When partnering with her on their trips, her clients know they’ll always get her honest opinion, tailored suggestions, and someone who genuinely cares about getting things right.
Traveling as regularly as she can, Kirsty is always scouting new hotels, experiencing destinations firsthand, revisiting old favorites, and constantly reevaluating what actually lives up to the hype. Over the years, she’s explored some of the world’s most striking hotels, islands, and off-the-grid escapes, building the kind of knowledge that only comes from actually going somewhere. Along the way, she’s developed long-standing relationships with many of the people and properties she recommends—a perk her clients benefit from around the world.
While her experience spans the globe, the Maldives has become a particular specialty for Kirsty. It’s a destination she knows inside out—the islands, the resorts, the teams behind them, and the details that turn an enjoyable stay into an exceptional one.
The Maldives! Honestly, even the flight gets me excited. Flying over the atolls is a view like no other. Those unreal shades of turquoise, tiny islands dotted everywhere, boats zipping around, and seaplanes buzzing through the sky. You know you’re somewhere pretty special. The beaches are every bit as beautiful as the photos, the marine life is incredible, and we’ve always loved having world-class surf breaks sitting alongside some of the best resorts anywhere. Throw in overwater villas and the relaxed island pace, and it’s not hard to see why I keep finding reasons to go back. Somewhere along the way, the Maldives became a bit of an addiction. Judging by the number of clients who come home already talking about trip number two, I’m clearly not the only one.
The Northern Lights—and honestly, I can’t believe they’re still on my list. There’s something pretty magical about the thought of being in the Arctic wilderness, rugged up against the cold and watching the sky come alive with ribbons of green and violet overhead. No photo ever really does it justice, and I love the fact that nature is completely in charge. No schedules, no guarantees—just sitting back and hoping the skies decide to put on a show. Throw in snow-covered landscapes, cosy lodges, and a few huskies, and I’m sold. Ask me again next month, and I might have a different answer, but right now, Northern Norway is definitely having a moment.
Keep up with the places that deserve more than a bookmark, but a check-in.
