Tori Boos

18 Years of experience

With over seventeen years of luxury travel and hospitality experience, Tori brings her background spanning sales, branding, communications, and digital marketing to her role as Director of Marketing at SmartFlyer.

Upon graduating from the University of Oregon with a degree in English, Tori joined Starwood Hotels in Seattle, Washington. From there, she relocated from the West Coast to the nation’s capital where she fell in love with the vibrant energy and fast pace of D.C. life. In 2013, Tori joined the Four Seasons Hotel Washington D.C. Sales Team where her hunger and curiosity fueled her appetite for continued growth. In 2017, she returned to Seattle, first as Director of Sales at the Fairmount Olympic Hotel and then as Director of Marketing at the Four Seasons Hotel Seattle. In 2019, she found herself pulled back to the East Coast where she joined the opening team of the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia. Under her guidance and leadership, the team established this resort-in-the-sky as a flagship property within the Four Seasons Americas portfolio.

Being surrounded by diverse teams with travel stories collected from all over the world, Tori values the experiences a career in hospitality unlocks and the connections this work forges. Prior to joining SmartFlyer, her experiences on the Sales side of the business had her traveling from New York to Los Angeles to Morocco to Beijing and beyond–with her role leading marketing and branding efforts, she looks forward to future trips to Madrid and London immersing herself in the SmartFlyer community. At home, Tori balances her fast-paced career by spending as much time as she can outside hiking, gardening, and walking her cockapoo, Piper. She and her husband are based on the Eastern Shore of Maryland where they love to cook when they’re not busy planning their next adventure.

What has been your most memorable travel experience to date?

My husband and I went on safari in South Africa at Londolozi, a lodge nestled in the heart of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve within the Greater Kruger National Park. To call the game drives, boma dinners, and time spent with our knowledgeable guides “memorable” would be an understatement. The blend of luxury hospitality in the middle of the bush set against the wide-ranging wildlife was a euphoria that we’re still chasing today. Of course, my work and personal travels empower me to continue to pursue the thrill of a new destination–unlocking enriching experiences is certainly at the heart of what makes this industry so unique.

How do you prepare for your trips?

When getting ready for a trip, I seek recommendations from travel advisors within the SmartFlyer network who have traveled to my upcoming destination. From in-the-know tips to restaurant recommendations, on-the-ground experience always has an edge over what I can find on the hotel website.

Travel Tip

  • Research but try not to plan too much, I don't want to let a jam-packed itinerary take the joy out of discovering a new place.
